Hi Guys! Sharing my last project
Anatomy / Master study of Ricardo Bellver Amazing Fallen Angel statue.
Some Fun Facts: This Statue is the only Public monument in the world about the Devil (located in Madrid, Spain) And it is 666 meters above sea level
I Discovered this Gem while listening to Cory Tylor “A Series of bleeps” podcast which is an Excellent Metal podcast! (episode 35)
It was Very Challenging to sculpt this Statue Only from The Online photos I Found In The Web And I learned a lot!
Modeled In Zbrush and Rendered in Keyshot.

It was super challenging to work on a statue with That extreme (And Beautiful) pose And Such elaborate base of statue without a proper references.
I took this thing as one of the challenges of this project but in the end you need to take Comprises and changes because of the lack of good reference, but from those limitations/process you also learn a lot and sharpen you’re eye.
And Thank you for the article, Really interesting and I found out a couple of new things About Statue.
This was my Corona period side project while working as a modeler on the Muppet babies which was a really fun project! And came back to the Fallen angel last month to wrap Things up.
I also planned to texture him (I didn’t manage this round but hopefully soon) and as I found Lately a couple of new good photo references of angles that i was missing at the time of the Sculpting (one of them is in the article that you send:) I will also do a couple of tweaks to the Model and sharpen things And of course I will post the update at ZBC.

Beautiful replica! I was going to say in my first post that with a bronze material and render your digital take would have gained a lot, especially where there is overlapping details like the wings and snake scales and hair… Nonetheless, very cool project

Thank you Jaime Yes a bronze/metal Material with Patina and render will work Really nice with the overlapping and details, And also it will work well on the overall look of the sculpt. I will definitely do it.
