For this project I was asked to portray two of the main characters of Neon Genesis Evangelion, Rei and Asuka.
The idea was that the pose have the resemblance of what the two Shisa lions represent on temples.
They represent guardians.
They are ready to be 3d printed at 120mm. They are going sit on the desk and keep bad spirits away 
Worked everything in Zbrush. From sketching, sculpting, and painting.
For the final render I exported decimated meshes while keeping the polypaint data.
I took those inside of Blender and just added a vertex color node and plugged it on the color slot. It works very well for me.

And the concept. Eventually it was decided their heads should look forward as the Shisa themselves.
