Elefont: A free text-to-dxf utility...

Hi
Some of you are already familiar with this info…
There is a 3D text utility that can create text from any true type fonts and export in dxf format.
I have downloaded the utility and exported a test “ZBrush” text.
In ZBrush, I selected the PolyMesh3D (StarTool) and imported the newly created DXF file and used it to create the following test image…

The utility is very simple to use and it allows you to create text that can be used within ZBrush… Until ZBrush gets a Text Tool, this utility can be very useful.

Here is the link … http://www.armanisoft.ch/webdesign/default.htm

Unfortunately, this is a PC version only :frowning: There are many Mac users in here and it would be good to find similar application for the Mac.
If you know of any, please post the info in here.

looks good, very small exe file too.

Since we’re on the topic of 3D fonts, I ran across this link quite a while ago. You can download some 3D fonts that are already in DXF format.

Let’s not forget Amorphium. It has a great 3D text ability.

And I also use Xara3D4. That’s very handy. And you can use Bryce and it’s seymmetrical Lattice and edit object function to create REALLY cool looking text to export to ZB.

Just my thoughts…
