Dynamesh thin geometry

Hi all, I have a dragon wing with thin leather joints between the fingers.
question how to translate everything into dynamesh to smooth out the transitions?

I would duplicate the tool, make the thin part thick enough so i’d dynamesh correctly and then use either the project all or project history using your thin mesh to get the thinness back

Thanks but it’s hard for me to understand without instructions in the form of videos or pictures of the steps.

Hi @dastan

This mesh may not be suitable for Dynamesh. Meshes sent through the Dynamesh process will begin to break apart of they are read as 2D or overly thin in an area. Dynamesh requires closed 3D volumes with a minimal degree of thickness.

If you want to use Dynamesh to fuse these together, you will need to make sure they have enough thickness to work with the feature. Otherwise I would use Live Boolean to fuse the objects together. Again they must be closed 3D solids, but Live Boolean is generally not troubled by the thickness of the model.
