jantim
She’s lovely! Do continue to work on her, she’s worth it!
very nice, looking forward to the finished model
I like her
Hi gtiber this is a very gentle and beautiful composition and very well sculpted. I like the focus of the eyes/head pointing down as she looks very thoughtful and happy with those thoughts. Really really like this. thanks for sharing
This is one of those sculpts that don’t require glitz to make an impact. She has very good lines. Hats off to sculpting asyemtery! Her facial position and expression are really beautiful. Can’t wait to see what you do with her next!

jantim : No i don’t have a background in sculpting but i did a lot of drawing in life modeling class.
Plakkie : I’m stating to think that i should.
hehehehe :
Arran J Lewis : I’m very happy this piece made you see so many things.
hyper1 : I try to stay away from micro details (at least until the end) and focus on the pose and feeling of the scupture.
sephirothsinic: You took the words out of my mouth.
After carefully observing the model I noticed two things that may have been overlooked.
a. The foot/toes seems to be slightly bigger than needed and could use more elegancy and realism. In my understanding this will be eventually achieved by curving the toes.
b. I am not feeling the weight of the sculptire, it appears that her body is made out of stone and not flesh, feels a bit rigid. How do I know this? If you look at her booty, it truely seems like it’s not receiving all of the weight of the girl.
Killing the strict symmetry and rigidity is one of the keys to realism.
What makes this piece technically realistic is the asymmetry and the feel of distribution of mass in her spine, but needs more careful overlaying skin definition. This is one of the more promising works I’ve recently seen in the main forum.
It seems you have a background in traditional sculpting. Nice work! Maybe a nice texture or the famous Janitm-skin-shader will bring it to live.
