Does pen nibs make any difference while sculpting in zbrush...?

hello there, i m noob to zbrush and i want know that does pen nibs make any difference while sculpting in zbrush, n if it does which is the good nib for sculpting…? i have wacom intuos 3 6*8 tablet it comes with three diffrent types of pen nibs…standard, stoke n felt. I also want to know that how to setup tablet for best performance in zbrush sculpting or default tablet setting works well…?

sorry for my english…!

Wacom pen nibs don’t directly affect the input that ZBrush receives. What they do is affect how the pen feels for the user, which (in albeit subtle ways) can affect how they use the pen. Personally I like the felt tips because the feel is closer to a pencil on paper but that’s just my opinion. It’s really just personal preference.

Edit: On the settings, I’ve never changed from the default.

I find the felt nibs feel good for the same reason as Marcus does. Although I do change the settings for the pen buttons so that the button nearest my and is set to ‘right click’ and the furthest to ‘middle’ I find this helps for menus etc in ZB.

Wayne…

 Thanks a lot for the reply Marcus_civis and Wayne Robson, i m a huge fan of both of you…you guys rock, I’ll soon post my work…thanks again guys…!

I have a wacom that is at least 8 or 9 years old, and I have had the same (and only one) pen nib for it.
I discovered that by taping a piece of typing paper on my tablet, I can get that “paper” feel.

I use the thing a lot (primarily for doing 2d illustration with painter and more recently for sculpting in Z).

Thanks for the reply nate, i m experimenting with the nibs and trying to find out which suits best for my style…! thanks again for the reply…!
