Difference between save Document and Save Tool?

I’am unable to find the answer in the help file that comes with Bbrush.

So here goes…

When I have scultped and saved my object by going in Documents and Save Documents. I close and reopen Zbrush I then load my last saved document.
My sculpted object apears in the canvas but I’am unable to rotate og Edit it.

So to be able to continue with the object, the only way is by saving it as a Tool before i close the program?

Saving the document saves pixols. If you have an object in edit mode, it saves a 2.5D snapshot of the tool rather than the actual 3D model. It doesn’t save the model any more than saving the document would save your texture or alpha. That’s why the individual palettes have their own inventories.

Tool>Save As is the only way to save the model as a fully 3D object that you can continue to work with later.

Hey Aurick,

Many thanks for explaining this, now I know thats how Zbrush is suppose to work.
