Cyberpunk Female Jacket - Marvelous Designer, Zbrush & Substance Designer

A Cyberpunk Jacket i created with Marvelous Designer 8, Zbrush and Substance Designer. Inspired by the world of Cyberpunk 2077 and Deus Ex.

I wanted to challenge myself to create a cyberpunk garment and do all of the detailing using tileable patterns i created as i felt that it gave me more freedom to explore with shapes. I also wanted the whole aesthetic of this jacket to be asymmetrical by including a big folded collar. MD gave me a great base to work with and all detailing like sculpting new folds, adjusting seams, adding thickness, fixing the shape and the overall read of the silhouette was completed in Zbrush.

The jacket was detailed using my product called 100 Tileable Displacement Patterns Part 2 that you can get via these links if you’re interested.

Wow that is really awesome @MrDavids , i just love to have efficient ways aswell as consistent patterns to lay over surfaces. I have just seen allof your collections the first time and they are amazing. Thank you for sharing these here, it would be also very interesting to see how you create each of these tiles, I think the community of zbrush aswell as of myself would love to see a creation breakdown.

Many thanks bud and happy sculpting,

Kenny L:)

Thank you so much KC-PRODUCTION I truly appreciate that. I have a full workflow and video tutorial on how i create these tileable patterns. I use both Zbrush and Substance Designer to create them and i also create some 100% procedurally just with Substance Designer. It’s such an amazing and powerful tool. This is probably going to sound like a shameless plug but it’s available on my gumroad if you’re keen on learning how to do it and gain access to my library of 255 tileable patterns https://gum.co/XuEhS

@MrDavids I have just sent it to my Lead Artist to think about buying this for our production, its just so much value in this even using these within substance painter. So I will investigate in them and also do some personal testing with them and hopefully can show you results any time soon. Thank you for sharing this.

Cheers,
Kenny

Awesome, i truly appreciate the support. Yup since they are regular displacement maps you can basically use them with any 3D program that supports displacement and now that Substance Painter supports real time displacement they are fun to play around with. I just got tired of having to source certain patterns online so i built an entire library to reference immediately. Really saves me a lot of time and there’s a lot of categories to play around with as well + tutorials. Keep in touch, i’ll be here on Zbrush Central if you have any questions, just send me a message  Nice to meet you.

Those pasterns look fantastic!! :+1:
