Curve Brush Options

Hello. I was wondering if anyone could give me more details about how to use the Curve Brush, as I can not find any tutorials that answer my question? I am trying to create a curve that goes all the way around the chest area of my character model, but obviously I can not make the curve go all the way from the front to the back in one stroke.
I was wondering if there was a way to extend/continue the curve in two or more stokes, to any part of the mesh that I want?
And is it possible to edit the curve, by moving it into different positons and smoothing it, after I have created it?

Curve Tube Snap: When I create a tube shape with the Curve Tube Snap brush, the tube is always eight sided. Is there a way to increase the number of sides on the tube if I need to?

Can someone please tell me how I could do all of this or maybe someone knows a good youtube tutorial that can give me the details? Thank you for your help.

You can get the curve to go right around an object if you hold Shift after starting drawing. Make sure symmetry is off, start drawing a curve across the chest and draw off the model before holding Shift. The curve should go right around the model in a complete ring.

You can also extend a curve, if you want. Place the cursor near the end of the curve that you want to extend. Move the cursor a little away until you see a red line appear connecting the curve to the cursor. Now click and drag to extend the curve.

You can adjust and move a curve using the cursor. If you put the cursor over the curve you’ll see it changes to light blue. While the cursor is blue you can edit the curve. To change the size of the brush for editing the curve you can either press ‘S’ while the cursor is blue and change the slider value, or change the size using the Curve Edit Radius slider in the Stroke palette>Curve Modifiers.

For the Curve Tube Snap, you could use the Curve Tube brush (which has more than eight sides) - turn on Snap in Stroke palette>Curve section so that the curve will snap to the model.

Here is a good video that covers a lot of stuff for curve brushes:
