Hey guys i found this concept of the clover monster and am attempting to make it, but i’m still a little new to sculpting in zbrush so any critiques or suggestion would be great

i got the base pretty much made out, i just got to make up the hands and feet

Only comment I have so far is that the it’s been my experience that the few polygons and evenly spaced they are the MUCH better in the long run. Try starting out with as few polys as you can to define the general silhouette.

1st off thank you dakomoden for the comment i made sure to do that before sculpting. i also decided to just attach all the limbs together since it is apparently much harder to get rid of the seam that comes with making seperate parts of an organic object.

the spikes on his back are way to big, it looked more like rocks on the concpet, and that looked really good, but now they dont fit the character too much.
Great work! though- that concept is from early on during the making of the movie, director J.J. Abrams said they went through hundreds of concepts before deciding on the final creature. The offical Cloverfeild Monster Action Figure has been released, I’ve attached the image of it.

thanks slocik i was wondering on how that was going to work myself, but making it more like a rock would make it easier to manage
thank you also squid, i remembered hearing about that before, that was the reason i decided to use one of the other concepts, just to see if i could make that 3d

WOW! Real long time since i’ve posted. Been a little busy lately.
Thanks a lot Bad it helped more when i went back to do that.
Anyways I started to add some bits of detail to it. I’m trying to make the back a little more rocky. I also added some teeth in there. I’ll be adding some veinage in the gullate part as well as some of the arm and teeth part. I’m gonna start painting in soon.
