closing a hole without "closing holes", or dynamesh, or curve bridge brush

Hello !

i’m wondering if there’s a way to close a hole, without using “closing holes”, or dynamesh, or curve bridge brush. None of them would work for this …

this is a surface that couldn’t be dynameshed to become a closed polymesh. i just need to close two holes in it.

i couldn’t use the curve bridge brush because it works only to bridge two holes.

closing holes option would try to close the outer border of the whole surface too, and it’s a mess then …

i tried to create some quad loops at the border of each hole, so it’s cleaner, and now i’m wondering if there’s an option to close each of these two edge loops, without touching the rest of the model.

if only “close holes” could work with a mask, so i’d mask the whole area that doesn’t need work on it, and then i could close what’s not masked …

thanks !

Thank you so much !!!

you save my life, that is exactly what i was looking for !

No worries, you’re welcome…

i’m trying to learn how to use it, in the gif it shows a pannel where he can click on “close” , but i’m not there yet.

tyhanks again !!

You must hover over an edge with your cursor and then hit the space bar to get the edge actions… Same for polys and points…

got it, with a simple right click, and spot a “close hole” available dot. working perfectly !!

i’ve lost so many hours trying to find ways … thanks a ton again.

Yep, the space bar is just another option…
Glad you found it…
Cheers…
