Clone "brush" in zbrush similiar to stamp tool in photoshop?

Hello, im newbie is there any “clone” tool for clonning the mesh structure from one part of the model to another similiar to “stamp” tool in photoshop, just for 3D surface geometry? I looked in zbrush but didnt find it, but i hope/think there has to something like that?

As far as I know, the closest features to what you’re looking for are the insert mesh brush and “mirror and weld” button. You can create an insert mesh out of any tool or subtool, and then add them to different parts of the main tool.

Depending on what exactly you’re trying to clone, you can duplicate the mesh, use the clip and/or trim brushes to remove any unwanted parts, leaving only the area you want, and make an insert mesh out of it. You can then apply this over any part of the model.

The link here will teach you how.

As for mirror and weld, you can mirror the whole side of a model to the other (works on x, y, and z axis as well). Note that it only works on one particular side–i.e., you can only mirror from right to left. I haven’t used the other axes, but it’s probably the same as well, as in top to bottom only, or front to back only.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for tip. Using the insert mesh brush will be probably closest to what i want. But still, isnt there any other way or trick or a plugin?

Im quite shocked that otherwise cool and i think quite well thought out, original and interesting software as zbrush doesnt have such basic and i believe quite usefull tool as “clone”??

(is there some problem/complication for implementing such functionality?)

Frankly, I don’t think there’s another method or plugin other than the ones I mentioned, but I could be wrong.

I guess it’s just one of the complexities of cloning areas of a 3d model as opposed to a 2d piece of artwork in Photoshop.

they should add such brush in future relases of zbrush i dont really think that it would be hard to program, just copy the mesh part you selected and blend/fade out/smooth the edges o the brush and its ready.

Hard to believe that zbrush doesnt have such tool :-(.

There is a Clone brush under the 2.5D brushes and the feature you ask about (copy and paste), I’m pretty sure was added recently to the tool sets abilities. There’s lots of information to sift through.
