Hi guys,
I know this is a matter that has already been discussed quite a lot but I’m trying to wrap my head about what Cintiq model I should buy.
Personally, I never wanted a screen tablet, but lately I feel the need to boost my speed and the only way is accessing at a more gestural and intuitive way of sculpting and painting.
For me who like drawing closer to the paper sheet, the Cintiq Pro 16 may be the right solution to get:
- great resolution, super useful since I will be pretty close to the screen.
- a device I can place on the table (not too thick to feel it annoying if the elbow fells off of it while I draw)
- the laminated display, who may reduce the parallax effect.
I’m concerned about the resolution on such a tiny display, though:
Do you have problems ready texts and pages on a display like this?
A lot of people suggests me to go for the CIntiq 22 HD but, quite honestly, I always thought it is too big for me, and it would force me to go for an ergotron arm to be able to be flexible about his placing.
A good alternative but I don’t know…
- no laminated screen
- no 4k resolution
- no 8k pressure levels in the pen
- higher price
I was suggested for the Pro 24. Great, but:
- Gigantic!! Do I really need it?
- They tell me the fan is pretty noisy. How much more noisy it is compared to the smaller tablets?
What’s your experience?
Do you find the Pro 16 to be a good device for professional sculpting and painting?
Is the 4k res going to tire your eyes when you need to read something?
Do you notice a big difference with a biger screen when you pain or sculpt?
Thanx in advance for sharing your opinion!
Cheers.
PS: I SO hope Wacom will release a Cintiq PRO 19, in the future. I would buy it immediately!
Too bad they are not even thinking about it…
