He’s back! Cesar Dacol Jr. is once again sharing his ZBrush expertise, this time through the “ZBrush - Sculpting Digital Characters” CGWorkshop.

Graduates of this eight week course will have created a figure from start to finish in ZBrush. You’ll start with ZSpheres to create your base mesh, then progress through the steps of sculpting, retopology, UV mapping, texturing, posing, and finally rendering your creation.

Cesar Luis Dacol Jr. has worked in the film industry for nearly 20 years, having started his career in the makeup effects industry before transitioning to computer effects in the mid 90’s. With a background in anatomy and traditional sculpting, he quickly adapted to the 3D world of computers. For the past 5 years Cesar has worked primarily as Lead and Modeling Supervisor, contributing to many feature films such as 300, Barnyard and Fantastic Four.

He is presently a Modeling Supervisor at Image Metrics where he oversees the digital character creations, facial animation blend shapes for various clients and feature film productions. He is currently involved in the production of Foodfight! (animation - release date 2008).

I would appreciate this sort of advert more if it was offering its tution at no charge. Can we please maybe keep advertisments on the top row please.

Interesting, but not at $500 or anything even close to that.

An absurdly high price for what amounts to online lessons. I’d have a hard time paying that for 6 months of hands-on in a classroom setting.
