Centering pivot on an object?

Hello,
In maya, I made an object that is made out of quite a few parts.
I exported each part as a different OBJ and in its right position, meaning not in the center of the world.
In ZBrush I imported all oOBJs as SubTools and now if I take one subtool and choose to use “Deformation” such as size on a certain area of that subtool, the effect is weird, it seems like it happens because the pivot is not in the center of that object.

I tried using Transform>S.Pivot but that moves the object to another area.
I tried using S.Pivot and then C.Pivot (no idea what that is) and it didn’t move the object but didn’t fix the problem either.

Anyone knows what am I doing wrong?
Thanks

you have to use S pivot (move the object to the center of the world) do any deformations, then hit C pivot (moves it back to the objects pivot in world space).

if you hold ctrl over a button you get a quick help option in regards to the icon you’re hovering over.

Thank you
