Base mesh in Maya, sculpting in Zbrush.
I am looking for any comments on the pose and the look of the character.
This is my first attempt at doing something like this so be kind
I will be doing some other poses too…

All crits and comments welcome

Welcome to ZBrush Central Josh!!! You are an outstanding artist and a great addition to our community. I really look forward to seeing more posts from you in the future as I know you will be creating much more work in ZBrush!

Great job on the mouse. Looking forward to seeing more detail like hair , whiskers, and skin around the tail.

Again WELCOME!

Looking great so far! For a moment I thought I was looking at a snippet from the Ratatouille artbook.

Will you be rigging the character for animation at all?

looking good, the pose seems to be well executed, smooth and realistic(for a cartoon mouse that is)… nice!

Here is the wireframe of the base mesh from Maya.
Left unsmoothed, right smoothed.

Thanks Martin

Thanks for the comments,
Yeah I have been using that book for reference,
but still trying to get my own look in there too.
The pose is different too.
At this stage I had no plans for rigging it for animation,
but it wouldn’t be hard to do.
