Canvas Question about Transparency

perles.jpg Hello I am new to ZBrush, I was wondering if the Canvas (Background ) can be turned TGA or transparent, so that a perlcurtain that i designed for example can be exported to Photoshop with no background. Cropping out unecessary background is very time consuming.

Thank you if anyone can help

Well i dont know about transparency but you allway can change the background to say, bright green and in photoshop selection tool, color green and erase, just takes 2 clicks.

I never knew that, what are the commands?

Even if you use normal grey canvas, if you use magic wand tool in photoshop - only it well get selected and can be deleted untill and unless you have lots of fibers to create problems, it will be smooth

So how do i eliminate the colour green in photoshop ?
If you have no time to answer i’ll figure it out but I am glad you gave me this tip thanks again

In zbrush, select the color u want and then go to menu Document and click on “background”

If what you’ve painted on the canvas has depth, you can also press Alpha>GrabDoc to capture that depth. You can then export the resulting alpha and use it as a selection mask in Photoshop. (Depending on your needs you may want to adjust its levels so that it’s all black and white instead of grayscale.)

Photoshop`s Extract filter is designed for this kind of job.
