Trying to see how to make my own different braid brushes.

Those brushes assign a custom mesh to the MeshInsert brush and then use the Stroke>Curve Mode so that the mesh is applied along a curve. However, as there are issues with that method, I suggest you don’t use it but find some other way, such as using ZSketch/ZSpheres to build up braids.
