Best Rendering Software

Which is the best rendering software, one which can render project to look like from the real world (for example: model of human face). Does every software has that option, or just some of them? I wander for both - photography and animation rendering

pretty much everything can do it. but do some research before deciding on which engine you choose to use

Thanks man. I hope someone can suggest some rendering software or plugins

Maya seems to be a popular choice and does good renders (i’m untrained, just seen stuff here that’s good)

Yes, I also used Maya rendering once, but for buildings, not for human faces, sa don’t know. Also I heard that for Avatar is used Renderman for Maya, so I think that is the best…

Renderman, Mental Ray, Vray, and Maxwell are the best, but none of those are a one-click-to-make-it-look-real solution.

The rendering process involves the talent of the artist, in other words, you can get photorealistic results with zBrush renderer and photoshop.

I guess so. Thanks for answer. Did you know some useful tutorial, which explain the process of creating photorealistic render?

P.S. I assume that Photoshop is used for texturing…?

I could upload some lighting setup pics as soon as I go to work, and explain a little… you can start by researching a little on “Final gathering” if you want to render with mental ray.

Photoshop is used for compositing: In the rendering app you render some “Passes”, an ambient occlusion, A plain color, a specular color, a reflection… and get them together in photoshop/After effects/Fusion/Nuke…

Ok, I understand now  Thanks in advance  Also I know now that I’m in very beginning of CGI-world, so there are lot to learn :))) Thanks for help!
