Anung un Rama

Hello guys,

this is my best effort into making a Hellboy.

Still much to do and fix, but I’m hoping to be able do him justice and make it as good as I can.

I intend to make him leaner, looking older, beaten up, as I’m trying to get closer to his looks in the latest comics. So I’m trying to avoid the buffed up look usually seen on Hellboy models in general.

That said, any and all comments and critiques are most welcome.

Thanks for your time and for seeing this!

Trying to mimic HousseinDiba’s technique on the eyes, to the best of my ability…

like it ;-)!

how did you do the jack collar ;-)?

Thanks Kintaro!

By jack collar you mean the belts and the straps on the boots?

The straps themselves were made using a combination of the CurveTubeSnap and CurveTube brushes, on a low ZIntensity which makes the tubes a little more flat.

Then I smoothed it out and made it even flatter using the HPolish brush.

The end tip on each was made as a separate tube, as was the loop (that part that keeps the tip of the belt in place once buckled up).

As for the buckle, it was a combination of Ring3D (for the frame) and Cube3D primitives (for the prong) turned into polymesh3D and then modeled some using mostly the Move and Hpolish brushes.

The ring3D part was initialized as 180º since I only needed half.

Hope that answers your question!

Feel free to ask again if not!
