Just an awesome piece. Can I make a suggestion? I would recommend always posting you work in one thread. This way when someone looks at this piece then can go through the rest of your thread to see all the pieces you’ve completed. You have a really nice group of sculpts.

Hey man, nice work with this one. The one thing that bugs me is the eyes, because you’ve got her posed, but the eyes/face are not doing anything. It would be cool to get more expression out of the character.

O.k, after watchin Pixars short, Sanjay’s Super Team, I was inspired to do a depiction of an African Orisha, I chose Shango, the Yoruba god of thunder and lightning. I’m working on the conecpting and fleshing out a few ideas. I need help with an idea I have. I want the good to have a craved wood look to him with beautiful carved details. How would you guys tackle this. So check out the image with the two carved wooden figures, what would be the best way to get a crown with that carved detail, I know I could use the sculpting tools and freehand it, but I really want precision, I want it to look perfect and less hand done.

He’s male, he’s all about thunder and lightning so he has to be buff, angular, you know, can’t be curvy, oh no.
Were this a storm front sent by Shango it would be reported in Hollywood circles as front facing like Tikki and Buff like Roman. Whereupon it would get instant approval ratings.
