Anatomy Study - Écorché

Hi, my name is Marco Borsoi. Besides this is my very first post, it has been a while I’ve been here following all these amazing works posted day after day. ZBrush is one of the most powerful software I’ve ever seen, and this community is so kind and strong that it’s just the perfect complement for all the incredible work developed by Pixologic.

I have to say that I’m actually a web programmer (the kind that writes javascript and sass), but since forever drawing has been my passion and, about two years ago, I discovered ZBrush and with it the digital sculpting. Since then, I have dedicated some hours after work and during weekends to study arts at home and keep progressing my learning. It’s hard, really really hard, but at same time is priceless and rewarding.

Since I’ve never had a formal training on arts, during this time I read books, watched videos and passed hundreds of hours searching for references while working on this model, which actually represents everything I have learned.
I realised that I spent too much time on this particular model and it was time to abandon it and move on, since I have a whole new world to discover yet.

I hope you enjoy it and Happy ZBrushing!

For the skull, I would say the zygomatic is way too far off. It should be at the same level as the forehead

Hey Scote, thanks for your feedback. It’s really appreciated.

But I don’t know… maybe the skulls I used as reference were once some ugly guys because their zygomatics are not really aligned with their foreheads.

All the best!

You are right not as much but still you skull could be improve… Try to match mine, It was based on some medical references I got from my old job. It’s a based mesh for my character but ghood enough as ref
