Anatomy 360

Hey guys

This is a very early test of our real time anatomy viewer, we have 1000’s of poses that we are processing at the moment (Very slow going) but the plan is to release the ultimate 3D anatomy reference application, its still early days and there is a lot for us to consider in terms of how if might work, what features we want to implement, lighting setups, etc etc…

I would love to know what you guys think…

We have a development blog here www.anatomy360.info

Cheers…

Thanks nassosa  hopefully we should have some proper demos to show off some time next week…

Great work on this, it looks like it’s going to be a really useful tool.

One thing that struck me after looking at this link recently
http://sevencamels.blogspot.co.uk/2014/10/vanderpoel-cross-sections.html
featuring cross-sections of the human body by John H. Vanderpoel, was that it would be really useful if you could hide/unhide sections of the mesh along certain edge loops so that you could see the cross-section of the forms at those locations. Perhaps those cross-sections could be highlighted in a colour so that they’re easy to read.

Not quite sure how you’d manage that in the UI, but a feature like that where you could visualise the cross-sections and how they change as the figure transforms would really helpful when trying to replicate realistic forms.

Nolan_R :small_orange_diamond: Thats a great idea and very easy for us to implement as well, Ill get on that next week… Thanks so much for suggestion…

My pleasure. Looking forward to getting my hands on the final app

Great job
Do you think of a stand Aline program like poser to export poses as basemesh ?
What about animals scans ? Despite bammes or goldfinger books there is not a lot of references fort artists. I think 3dscan.sk have some , but dead ones!
