3D Face Scanning and zbrush 3D Printing predator

Hi everyone. This thread that shows some options for a production pipeline incorporating 3D scanning and Zbrush for a number of different uses. Here is a couple scans I did at my studio Front Line Studios in LA. We scanned a life size Stan Winston PREDATOR head from the first film. From the scan data I quickly added the teeth, quills and a quick representation of the hair. Then did a 10 minute paint within Zbrush. The whole thing from scan to completed model took less than 3 hrs.

With the new Zbrush tools like Decimation Master,3D Print exporter. We can easily make a 3D print of this model at any size and retain all the details.
The model can be easily retopologized and animated if you wanted.

Check out this video i made showing the process as well as human head scanning, Maquette scanning and other cool stuff.

Would love to see this with more time spent on the paint job.

Yeah , This was real quick to get the idea across. I need to spend some time and do Steve Wang’s original paint some justice.
