whenever i press y,z, those mirror symmetries are not being activated, like they were in zbrush 2, and 3, before the update. Can anyone tell me what the problem is? Only the x symmetry is working and i dont know why
Those hotkeys have been disabled by default. You now have to activate them manually by going to transform > activate symmetry. Then you can choose your desiered axis.
there must be some way around going to the menu each time to select the symmetry…was something wrong with the old way you could select the symmetry? i was quite satisfied with how it is before. I even tried using the hotkey controls to try to make it back to the old behavior but that dosent work. What can i do because this is a major issue for me.
One solution i can think of is to record yourself pressing the activate button and then choosing the axis and make a macro out of it. Then you can assign hotkeys to the macros.
But yes, i also wish they would stop changing the workflows for no good reason.
Another option is to add the symmetry buttons to your shelf through the UI Customization features.
Just because you don’t know a reason doesn’t mean that there wasn’t a good one. We aren’t always able to share the reasons behind something, but I can assure you that changes are never arbitrary.
here the shortcuts x,y and z work in 3.1 by default?
