2022: holding shift while drawing a curve no longer snaps that curve to a polygroup/mesh edgeloop

I can’t get curve brushes to snap to polygroup or mesh edges by holding shift anymore, brushes like CurveBridge have been rendered unusable and I can’t wrap curves along edgeloops.

Is this a bug or has behaviour/control changed?

Hello @AristotlesLantern

It works OK for me. Make sure you are up to date with version 2022.0.2 then contact Pixologic Support if you are still having the same problem.

Hello @AristotlesLantern

As @zber2 , I’m not immediately experiencing any trouble with any of the scenarios you mentioned.

It may be that you’re experiencing some sort of issue with your input device. If using a tablet, try using a standard mouse instead to see if it’s any easier for you.

It may also be you’re experiencing trouble in relation to a specific usage scenario, or that the mesh you are working with is problematic in some way. Please try this with a variety of meshes that ship with ZBrush to rule out some sort problem specific to the mesh you are working with.

Thank you!

Hi, thanks for your replies. @Spyndel Easiest thing to explain is a video: https://youtu.be/UoqY2m7S1GQ demonstrating the difference. It seems like it’s not every mesh that it happens on. Simple ones, especially, seem to be fine…

I can upload the mesh if need be. If it makes a difference it was made with 2022.0.2

Seems to be the same behavior regardless of input device.
