hey Marcel,
first i want to tell you that i saw most of your work and loved it, your way of moddeling, colloring and rendering is superb in every way!!!
second, i don’t understand why work of this quality is so poorly commented on this site.
Perhaps a lack of taste? politics?
oh well, great job M
Greetings

Like this and all the others by marcel I’m lost for words. Work demonstrating this much talent is so far beyond my own spheres that for me to comment on them feels inappropriate and/or presumptuous.
So I rest, I would not have you include my silence amongst the stings, if indeed they are stings at all, reverence more likely.
-A feeling of profound awe and respect and often love; veneration. See Synonyms of honor.
-An act showing respect, especially a bow or curtsy.
Hi Bobono
"so poorly commented " is meaning not more numerous, or, the quality of comments are not of best quality ?
Pilou
hello! bobono and antimorph, thank you alot for your kindly words! i just explain my feeling: first, as each artist, professional or no, newbie or no,on this site, i have the same" cocktail"in the head: pleasure to create, and doubt about myself and,…well you know, all of you, that! second, on another way, being a professional, (it means just earning my life with) i work on 3d each day, and a lot of hours; so i make a lot of pictures, some i post here because i am in sympathy with the spirit of this forum, and i think zbrush is really the future program! so i have no problem at allwith the fact that there is not answer or comments, because what is a glance i hope pleasant would become very tedious, making a comment each time!a lot of people help me here by writing the “how to do”, and i very seldom write an answer; and when i connect here, i have a look at the topics, find a lot really interestring, and no add comments…to finish, let me add that having this sort of quick exchange of view seems to me illustrate the kindly quality of this forum! friendly M.
Hi Marcel,
your images are fantastic !!!
i’d like to see a script of your zworkflow…not a full image…but something to learn.
Bobono: sometime who see the forum have no time to post a reply…and what i have to say to Marcel, Mentat7, Pixolator, Ztevie-Rae, Kurisu, ecc. ecc. Their works are truly beatiful and don’t rely on number of reply.
I remember a post of Pixolator without any reply…

Incredible image! Very realistic, I’m using Zbrush for about 2 months and I want someday I could draw like this. How much time you spent doing this image? What technices you used do model the body and the clothes? Even using the zpheres and sphere3d it looks very difficult to model.

I think perhaps why there may be a lack of response is nobody wished to draw attention to the lady’s charms as they are placed smack bang in the image’s sweet spot.
Breasts tend to have a strange effect on the male mind, often causing confusion and mental impairment. They often act therefore as a visual fullstop, particularly when their proportions are as user friendly as Marcel demonstrates above.
Regardless of this fact, for me it is the background scene that makes this picture most interesting. The detailing and scene construction are as always superb.
Hi Boozzy
Tittle is “Zgirl”
We don’t forget the background (see my question
Pilou
boozy floozie, you hit the nail on the head
Wonderful picture Marcel
with all respect the proportions of this “Heavy Metal(esque”)(sci-fi magazine) piece seem sqaushed! Relax youre technique a little and you will improve. Do you listen to 80’s Hairband music(buttrock) or contemporary hiphop by chance? What I mean is this piece is not shocking its cup runneth over with obvious sexal innuendos, translation: boring!! This is just my humble opinion. I do not however know what youre artistic goals are! So if this does not help let me know!
Gosh member 3519…that’s a sure way to get a rap over the knuckles. Although…
hello! maybe a littla answer is’nt unnecessary…first, i’ùm absolutely sure that i don’t intend to talk in any way of sex; if i do that, i surely go on a sort of Crumb approach, where exploded forms allow a very crude message; here the topic is what we call in french “girl of paper”; each of us know that the theoric perfection of drawing with feminin form, as well as with male form (in frazetta 's work for example) is a departure so typic of the reality that sexual translation is out ;in fact, i’m searching the 3d equivalence of the smoothness of drawing, the girl, and the roughness of textures; in other words, any artistic attempt speak always of a single thing:the way artistic feeling is “going trough”; this has been very superbly write by Magritte, in the painting"this is not a pipe"; in other words, this is NOT a girl…to finish, if this drawing has for me a “family”, it is us artist Travis Charrest, and his “golden age revisited”; go on his official unnoficial site, it’s GREAT work! effectively it’s about the time wher “star wars” was going later to be on the screen, but i never saw that time(and fashion) was an artistic usable topic… Maybe i’m wrong
friendly M.
Great answer Marcel…
however…as to form and weight…remains a question?
Thanks
thnks pilou, je tapais vite; ed the atom, i don’t speak well english, i’m ok to answer the remaining question, but i don’t understand wich one???
form and weight? friendly M.
yes, this one and others from his sketchbook… the concept of sketchbook is interesting, because it’s opposite with 3d world, wich is often , usually, very definite, “photolike”; zbrush give me the idea of using 3d to sketch, (i’ve recently posted a drawing, in black and white, very “loose”),because the incredible “fast” of create with this soft; zgirl, for ex, is an afternoon drawing, but of course balck and white simplify the process! once the mix with pure drawing will be gain, i think zbrush will be a perfect tool, more(a lot more) than with the mix with painting… and on another side, masking the feet is a fun and classic approach, cose with the feet you loose dynamic; have a look at frazetta, me,n and women always go in the “ground”, like desappear in the dynamic movement; charest take that often even in quiet (?) compositio,n… Friendly M.
This Travis is a talentuous “Stakhanoviste”
In any case, your interpretation is perfect !
