thanks pixologic! I love all the new features.
Awesome features!!
Thanks!!
As to passes in Keyshot. If you save out 32 bit Tiffs or PSDs, you can save the alpha. Just as in ZBrush’s BPR, you can save many interations of the same file, different speculars, etc., making your own clown maps as well. There are many many tutorials of how to set up separate passes–from ZBrush and now I can do the same in Keyshot (lock the camera)–like from Grassetti and Bystedt to name but two. Also, there is a set of IES lights on the Keyshot forum that I’m looking forward to starting to use this weekend as well, and save out a default project with my lighting setups inside.
It’s impossible to make anyone else see the value of a tool like Keyshot, two sides to every pancake and all that. And I didn’t make the program, I’m just a user, but I want to say, for the record, that I am very thankful to all who made this ZBrush-to-Keyshot link possible. I think over the next few years we will see the results of these great two technologies combined in even more wonderful works of art.
Also, they have made it possible to print out unlimited size renders from Keyshot! --Awesome! I’ve already rendered some 6K files! This is a great feature!
There was so much anticipation online these recent few months before 4R7 was delivered for good reason. I for one feel a shift in the force!
ArtBot, I like your post.
And I’m just going to leave it at that, for once.
Very nice update, but one thing I don’t like is holding shift to turn off dynamic brush. Why is pixologic trying to force me to use it?
The Zbrush to Keyshot Bridge installs on two machines (i.e. workstation and a laptop) using the same ZBrush license, but Keyshot for ZBrush (the Keyshot 5 software) can’t be activated on more than one machine at once, so just having the Bridge activated won’t help. Luxion support told me you have to de-activate the license on one machine and then you can activate it on the other. Would have been great if the complete ZBrush to Keyshot bundle could be used on two machines, not just ZBrush.
Will there be a bridge (or more) with other tools? Something like 3ds Max?
Folks, am I alone with a transpose problem? When I click on the white circle to align the transpose line pops into a different position and direction instead of rotate the “camera”
Hello Jester… If you click on the white circle now it does center to your selection, which is very useful! It does that even if you have a mask.
If you what to rotate the camera as before you should do CTRL+click on the white circle.
Just wanted to say…I really appreciate all the ZClassroom videos! Thank you.
They’re very, very useful, when it comes to unlocking the hidden tricks in the new features of 4R7.
The only drawback is, I can’t stay out of the doggone program. 4R7 is ruling my life!
dam! Such a shame they didn’t fix the Deco Brush issue. I can’t seem to get the alpha modifying fix to work, so guess its back to R5 for that one tool :-\
Pixologic did it again. Zbrush is one of those few things that always lives up to, and surpasses, the pre-release hype. Amazing! Zmodeler is pure genius.
The classroom videos are simple, easy to follow, and you put them up so quickly. Zbrush is some of my best spent money ever. Honestly, I never praise companies like this but this company deserves.
ZNUB I agree with you 100% buddy!
I HAVE READ THAT ON THIS PAGE ; http://pixologic.com/zbrush/features/ZBrush4R7/feature-enhancements/
But I never find the pack, someone know where we can download it ???
@jbmonge … it also states that you can download the extra content when purchasing the Keyshot bundle (Bridge + Keyshot for ZB). Meaning it is not available to everyone.
When you purchase the bundle you should receive an email with license key for the Bridge and one for Keyshot + a link to download this extra content.
Hope that helps.
My senior said Zbrush is better than photoshop after seeing it I am excited to use it. i am just a beginner any tips for me for improving sketching and I need a list of latest animation projects and their director for exam.
Congrats on your discovery.
any tips for me for improving sketching
I want to know how to do that, too. Improve sketching.
Hope someone shares tips!
Thanks Eldero I have bought the bridge and Zbfor Zbrush but i have recieved the codes later and never recieved a link for this pack that is weird…
Love the update!! very powerfull for Lowpoly hardsurface modeling and Design Visualization.
Thanks Pixologic Team.
UPDATE: The 64 bit is still pretty unstable. Crashes a lot, just not when I was able to predict it would crash, when I was using the 32 bit. That was easy to predict because it usually involved trying to do extensive work maneuvers with high poly meshes. This new 64 bit can handle that with no problems, but then crashes 5 minutes after launching while basically dropping a sphere on the canvas. It also seems to not like when you leave zBrush, go to another app for a few minutes, and then come back. Crash! Not always, but a lot. Way too much. It’s still a pleasure to use when it’s working, but I hope this helps get any problems looked at for the future release.
in December i got a new iMac 5K 27inch. 32 gigs of ram, insane processor speed, and a terabyte of flash memory. It’s a beast! but 4r6 would still crash all the time with it, because it couldn’t utilize all the power. Well, let me just tell you that the 64 beta is rocking on this new iMac. It used to get VERY sluggish if something was in the 14 - 18 mil poly count. Hitting BPR or any RENDER option was the click of death at that point. No chance of it not crashing. So I was forced to work low, even if I was unsatisfied with it. In the 64, I just made something over 60 mil polys, then hit BPR and it worked. And it worked again. changed a material, did it again. moved it around, and everything was smooth. now, I know 60 mil polys is pretty nuts, but the fact it’s WORKING is amazing to me. This is exactly what I wanted from zBrush!
