Z-Sword - Templar warrior sword

hey sebcesoir that last one is great! I love the lighting as it really shows off the detail and hard work you have put into this so far!! Keep going my friend, you are almost there…follow lemonnado’s suggestion on either the lighting or slightly changing the blades material and I think you will have nailed it completely.

hey Seb your computer will be slow… but the work is great the same!!!

Wow, Seb, this last one is marvelous. This sword will be the second sword in the ZBranking  , the first is the pix sword :sunglasses:

Waiting updates :+1:

Very Nice Sword good work

Thanks Guys (hello aminuts!!!).
Actually, I,m somthing about 35%complete. The material is just temporary, I will put different shaders, and also different colors, to have golden engravings, silver and bronze detailing. The blade will receive engraved patterns, and the blade a more sshiny shader than the grip.

Im nearly finished for the blade link.
I will soon attack the handle.

 DAMN! nice details man! how about a double sided blade?

I love all the little details. :+1:
Do you use bumpmaps ?

Not so bad ce Soir
Pilou

Thanks guys!

About the double blade, I’m not sure it could fir to a sword, but I have a dagger model in mind, maybe if find time. But Actually I already a another project in mind, something very unusual for zbrush, but I have to keep all my concentration on this hard model…

For info heres the split blade dagger, but I dont know its name…

I dont use bump for this model, everything is sculpted in the finest details. I try to use projection master as I can, but sometime I have to sculpt directly, wich is not super easy… As you see, I used several separated pieced to sculpt my sword, but at the end, itj just one single mesh, no polymesh, that can be modified.
Pilou, sory but you will have to wait the end so see the blade sculpted. I think it will be the easiest part, so I keep it for the end…
I will take vacation soon, I really hope I can finish it before, but I also have to paint material, it will be just…
Maybe at the end I will release the low res mesh and the displacement map, like Pixolator’s one…

Big update : the handle is finished.
Pilou, I didnt forget you : the blade engraving will be my next part;)

dont expect too much!

The blade engraving is very simple… nothing compared to the handle!

wow, a very nice sword. I love the details and the render…very realiztic!!

yong

wow get’s better and better with every post!!!

Looks great…looking forward to seeing the rest later.

It’s no wonder they wore gloves back then…can you imagine the blisters such engraving would cause after a hard day of whacking and stacking your enemy? Ouch.

Yeah certainly, but the thing is my ref in not an histarcal one.

Its a modern replica. Maybe a replica of a ceeremonial sword? Certainly not a real fight sword, I hope so!

OhMy! that’s coming along beautifully…you have STYLE seb!!!:D:D can’t wait to see it finished!!! 5 stars from me

u should definitly post a tut of this!! i really love to see how u put all those details and keep the angular shape of the sword! di u used pre-made alpha? or just seperate tool that u added on ure main one with the markers? anyway , it looks awesome!

Iuse a mix of pre tools, and customs alphas generated from pre tools.

If you look carefully on the differents pictures, you will see how I progressed.
For this work, I could have been faster, but I wanted to do this a bit traditionally…

Hey Vivien!! Thanks for the stars!!
