twf152_ Alien VS Predator WIPs

Here’s the next update.

I’ve polished the forms a bit, and started using the clipping brushes to cut individual parts out of the main form.

This time around I’ve started working on the armor for the USCMC infantry.

It’s about half finnished, at least as far as sculpting goes.

I’ve got Pics and Vids.

Hey everybody, It’s been forever since I’ve posted anything… been pretty busy.

This time it’s a robot. I’ve been working on this thing for about six years now and this is something like the tenth redesign.
It’s been a struggle to get it to look the way I want it to look, because It had do do a bunch of different things, and had to have a bunch of different modular weapons, yet still have a certain look through every position and configuration. I think I’m closing in on it though.
Everything has been done in Zbrush, using mainly cubes and other primatives; then using dynames, and clip brushes/ transpose with masking. I use Zsketch to rough out the look and placement of the different parts, then dynamesh to get more refined parts.
the style I’m going for is a mix of metal gear, and steel battalion.

I love the mechdesign … reminds me of the Mechwarrior-Universe. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Keep up the good work!

Keep on rocking mate,

Hey everybody, thanks for the feedback/ interest…

Started mocking up the jump-jets, and made some placeholder guns so I could figure out the placement of the gun-arms and jump-jets so they don’t get in the way of each other.

Hey guys, I’m happy with the jump jets for now… now to move on to the arms.

This is to give you an idea of how the jets will move…

A turnaround of the standing position.

… and in this I merged the multitude of subtools into just a few subtools. Then, I dynameshed them at a low resolution, so I could get a feel for what needed to be done to the pieces in order for it to fold up into a transport/ storage position.

Hi Tristan, really sorry for digging up this very old thread, but I lost one of my favourite flatten brushes and was wondering if you are anyone else here still had the FLOR Flatten Spec brush kicking around?

thx!
