gloves…If anyones got some suggestions I would appreciate them.

I would get on Google and look at motorcycle gloves, as they’re usually pretty cool looking for inspiration.

thanks! yeah i kind of wanted to do some nice chunky gloves , motorcycle inspired sort of. Ive done a character with fingerless gloves in the past and want to try something a bit different.

If he’s going to be rock climbing, fingerless is the way to go. If it’s winter gear and he is wearing crampons after all, then full fingered make sense. His axe sort of looks like an ice tool, so you could take it in a mixed/ice climbing direction. More opportunity for creating wicked looking tools based on those used for ice climbing… :slight_smile:

Harryman84: thanks! Yes I thought it would be a good opportunity to combine his axe as a climbing tool also. If you go back to the start of the thread I think I mention that next to the concept art piece.

depending on what this guy is doing, here’s an idea. I remember hearing about how engineering guys would cut off the index and thumb of gloves for finer control. Not sure if that’s something you’d want to do.

This is coming along great! I really dig your design. Both the clothing and anatomy are looking really solid. I’m looking forward to seeing the finished product!
