I like that you chose a sculpture of Rodin, he must be one of my favorite sculptors.
And you did a very good job I might add.
True emotion .

Great job Anand! bravo!
…
Very, very good modeling and more
Thanks for RODIN’s Art
Bravo ++ and good ZBrush
Very nice!
Hi,
I studied a Rodin exhibit in LA’s art museum on Wilshire Drive years ago. There was a bronze of this work (‘Old Courtesan’) and your interpretation is quite accurate. Good work.

hey, nice work. my only crit is that I seem to remember Rodin’s hands being pretty distinct. But, it’s hard to say what’s lacking without seeing the reference you’re using - they may be spot on.
Also something about the toes looks odd.
But it’s great to see such a well done study. IMO more people (especially newcomers to 3D) should be copying master works.
Thanks for sharing.
Magic, I love this piece of work. I don’t allot about sculpting but this is truly beautiful. Plus I never really post or comment especially on a piece like this. But all I can say is genius. Well done.
very mice sculpting. How exactly do you work?
Do you build a basic mesh in another package and the import it or is that all zbrush?
Also would you like to expand on the tools you’ve used? I’m trying to learn zbrush and it would be really helpful to know how you approach your modeling.
Well she’s not made it onto my CG babe list, but that’s fine looking work
impressive work! *****
Bravo. *****
Beautiful work man … very expressive…
Excellent work Anand !
Excellent work! And welcome to zbcentral. 5 stars from me for craftsmanship, pose and delicacy of sculpting.
Well, I cant give you five stars for pose, they belong to Rodin, but you have done an amazing job of reproducing his great piece. You are indeed a talented modeller, look forward to more of your work.
Can you imagine telling Auguste that in a hundred odd years he would be able to produce things like this in a matter of hours, and without having to leave his seat? Think of all the processes and hard labour required to produce a bronze in his time, and how the whole thing could fail at any stage… Don’t tell me he wouldn’t have leaped on ZBrush like a duck on a june bug!
Great work! Lotsa thumbs!
great work!!

Hi ior_calin! thanks!!
Hi solidsnake! thank you!
Hi piz! thanks a lot!.. I am glad you appreciate… I somehow dont feel inclined to sculpt alien/creature/fantasy stuff… there is so much more expression in human life!!
Hey Thomas! thanks, dude!!
Hi 3dioot! thanks a lot! I am a great fan of Rodin! Can you tell me the name of the book?
Hi Atwooki! thanks a lot!
Hi Plakkie! thanks!
Hey Bimm! thanks!
Hey Magda! thanks for dropping by! Glad to see you here!!
Hey Marc! thanks, dude!
Hi Goktugg! thanks!
Hey Snark! thanks! Actually, my posing is wrong!
Hi Mantella! thanks! I have to work more on her hands and feet… You are right about master studies… Master studies are invaluable!!.. there is so much to learn from them!!
Hey 8infinite8!! thanks a lot!
Hi dk79! thanks! I built this one entirely in ZBrush… actually started from one of the sample meshes(the superAverageMan_low, I think). I am right now experimenting with different tools and methods in ZB3.1. The pinch brush(with a brush-tweak value of 50 to 70) is one of my favourite brushes… the rest is usual stuff… standard, inflat, flatten etc.
Hi pumeco! thanks!
Hey Sylvia! thanks!
Hi vlad74! thanks!
Hi Ldgree! thanks!
Hey Sriram!! thanks, dude! Great to see you here!!
Hey Nathan!! Great to see you here!!
Hey Slashpot!! thanks, dude!! I somehow cant imagine Rodin working with a computer!.. his work was so much more physical than what we see being created in computer now-a-days! Nevertheless, I think he would have loved zbrush!
Hi Alex!! thanks!
Update: I happened to see another photograph of “La Belle Heaulmiere” from a different angle and immediately saw that my posing was all wrong!!.. Now I see why her thighs looked so short in the other photo… they where fore-shortened!!.. My apologies to Maestro Rodin for doubting him for a moment!
