Hi guys !
I’m a 3d artist, I specializing in sculpture. This is the first model I’ve painted quite a long
I’m learning render it with VrayFastSSS2 strong but I do not really, this is my second test with vray the sss2 + normal maps and I find it really is not good.
I’m up 3DS Max 2013 file of the head and mouth with diff, Gloss, normal, Displacement maps… if you have free time, please download it on and can help me on shader and render. Through that I can learn from you and you can improve your product

For example, all I see them doing shaders and render beautiful, I really like them.

Thank you very much!
Test :
Awesome!!
Facinating … just blown away
Holy crap! that is pure badassery and it’s awesome.
that’s a really nice hydralisk I’ve made few test of my own and imo you should turn on sRBG in VFB if you’re using “color mapping only (no gamma)” in color mapping [or add 2,2 in post - renders won’t be so dark]. Also flipping the green normal map channel gave me better results.

Thanks andy_a
Gamma 2.2, I’ve used it. Your test version is excellent, but it seems a little bit shiny one, I think you can reduce it. thanks again for helping me and wait the completion of your:)
sorry because i speak EL not well
Great render!
Yep, you had gamma 2.2 in Gamma/LUT settings but if you use V-Ray Frame Buffer it overrides gamma - and because you had “color mapping only (no gamma)” it all was very dark [gamma was 1.0 - 2.2 wasn’t applied]. Glossiness is based only on textures [I just plugged them in]. Also you English is communicative so everything is ok
Thanks Man ! I will note it:)
Day 4…
Hope u like it!
