You are Peter the Great, beautiful work, whether water or doing in ZBrush?
A bit abstract but still experimenting with water integration.

Dino Lord,
I checked out the videos, kudos by the way. I downloaded the trial. Man, so sweet and easy. I found a workaround for meshes importing with the blue material. I have been experimenting with my Cassowary model, and had accidently baked the material into the textures and you weren’t kidding when you said it causes all kinds of trouble. I ran the Clean Tool Master plugin to rid the meshes of their materials…hit and miss. I exported the meshes out to Maya and reimported them with no luck. I do a lot of 3D printing files and remembered that there is an export obj option, so I exported the meshes as obj’s via the 3D print exporter with export textures checked and, BINGO! The obj files import with the material pre assigned to the default material. All I had to do is assign a new material and bring in my textures. Works like a charm.
I am still tweaking my scene and settings and will post a render soon. Oh, and I found a way to export all of my fibermesh feathers and they render like a dream.
Cheers
Derek
Hey Derek…Thanks Bud.
My workaround for models with baked materials is to quickly qremesh the original at around 15k polys then use this new mesh to project the old models high res onto…with rgb turned off with every projection if I feel the need to re paint. The new lower level qremeshed base mesh lets you subdevide around 5 times…approx 5 to 6 million polys…perfect for keyshot
Heads up…Just wanted to let you know that I have another tutorial out on Digital Tutors on the 1st of April
Thanks,
Pete
