I think its refined to the point of perfection!

Thank you very much Mealea! that means a lot coming from you! I love the designs you’ve created

Here is another Update, Had a go at adding damage and textures. I hope it turned out okay!
I sketched out that Lance weapon while I was waiting for my Ambient Occlusion mask to finish then quickly blocked it in with the topo brush and a cylinder!
next up, a striking pose and final compo render!

hey Samuel! great job on this one. I’ve enjoyed seeing it develop. I want the model kit.

@magbhitu, Thanks as always man! your a great inspiration motivator! Well if Your lucky and I win the Stan Winston Robot Design contest, maybe you’ll be able to get the model kit one day :stuck_out_tongue: hahaha

Here’s my “Final” posed, rendered compo for now! am tempted to make it low poly and do the whole game engine dealio!

Here’s the link for anyone curious.

I like it a lot! Can’t wait to see more stuff!

@fivewingangel, Thanks heaps man, hah I kinda made a 4 winged angel… mech! I don’t know where I’d add the fifth wing if it came to it…

Here’s a couple more views of the four winged mech angel bot.

And back to my alphabetical speed sculpts, J is for Jormungandr, the Nordic Sea Serpent and one of Loki’s three children to the Giantess Angrboða. He was cast into the Oceans by Odin where he grew so large he can circle the Earth head to tail, it is said, when he lets go of his own tail the world will end. I only managed to rough in his head.

Nice Speed sculpt of Jormungandr, I like the approach because with a few tweaks and a body it can become really great! I really like the style of the four winged angel mech as well! Your art style reminds me of the creature designs from Star Ocean The Lost Hope thats on Xbox 360 and on PS3!

@fivewingangel, Thanks man. who knows, I might take that one further, but for the purpose of that study it’ll have to wait :stuck_out_tongue: Nice, I played star ocean on ps3 awesome game! I should play it again and pay attention to the art! thanks

Just started Furio’s mech class, Here is my WIP for homework, still still pretty rough just blocking in ideas.

I wasn’t feeling the torso, so I started from scratch, threw it into keyshot and stumbled around a bit. hope you like.

I was going through this thread, and your work is unbelievable … well done

That looks like a good start to me! One day next year I might create a mech but yours is going to look great!

Another Mech concept WIP I’ve been playing around with for Furio Tedeschi’s Robot making class.

That’s looking awesome!

Great to see your new work! Shows that mech design is really your strength!

That latest mech is just crazy cool! :+1:

@turbocop99, Thank you, glad you like it

@fivewingangel, Cheers! Glad you think so! It’s only a fairly recent addition to my skill set, still a long way to go though

@Santis, Woo! haha thanks heaps man! means a lot coming from one of my major inspirations!

Decided it was time to play around in Keyshot, experimenting with colors, not so sure about this one, just a bit of fun for now  no composition yet. more to come!

More color iterations! a slight re-pose and I broke the model up into more smaller pieces for ease of applying materials to individual parts. still a lot to learn about Keyshot ^^
