Poop's Dump

I shouldnt have joked that way. Sorry guys.

I know my name is silly but I take my work and ZBC seriously. So please remove your poop off of my dump. Feel free to crit or whatever. Hope your not one of my students because I would be insulted. As is I’m not. Just wanna keep things directed to the art. I wouldnt soil someone’s post poopy or not.

Cordycep -I you aren’t exactly creating a great reputation for yourself with such posts.
I’m with Mark on this and would also appreciate if you kindly delete your post, because I wouldn’t want something like that in my thread either or anybody else’s for that matter.

let’s just say it was a not so successful attempt at humor we all want to forget and you help us forgetting by quickly removing it , shall we?

You probably don´t know who Mark is. He is a professional artist who is always trying to help students even ones who aren’t his. He is also willing an open to learn from crits by anybody. It shows humbleness and respect for anyones opinion. Even you don’t know him, there is no reason for such baaaaaaaaaaaaad joke. Shame on you man.

Th

Thanks man and respect for admitting. very appreciated.

Thanks so much man! Alls good! Much appreciated!

You should realize that kilts are a British military invention of the 18th century. I only bother to point this out because of your otherwise excellent attention to period detail.

Tartens yes, kilts no. The actual ancient through medieval to late renaissance Gaelic dress was a type of plaid toga.

After the Brits crushed the highland clans they outlawed the wearing of traditional tartans and Gaelic dress. Then the military shrewdly came up with the kilt as a way to enabling the clansman to wear their ancestral colors - BUT only (at first) in a military context overseas, fighting in their conquer’s armies. The Gaelic toga was deaned inappropriate to military kit, so the kilt was a compromise.

in short - bravehart = costume bulshyte. Don’t get me started on woad.

great model by the way.

some interesting works in here! i’m looking forward to the render of that last guy.

Looking forward to Saturday’s class Professor Poop, minotaur and soldier looking dope so far! (Curt here). Was surprised you got the texturing on that guy looking that good from polypainting mate.

I suppose I should post some of my work on ZBC that we’ve been doing in your class. If anybody’s in the LA area can’t recommend this guy’s classes enough.

Wonderfully detailed character design - I look forward to seeing him finally rendered!

Here is the final render and comp. Keeping the painterly storybook feel. Calling it good on him for now! Moving on to another. Plan on doing 3 more by Jan 9th. Provided no gigs come in. I would like to do a realistic render of him at some point as well!

Curt-Thanks man! Yeah I thing you should post great crits and people here on ZBC!

magbhitu- Yeah man I realize it. Karras is a D&D character I created back in the early 90’s and yes I didnt know at the time that the Braveheart costumes were wrong. He was definitely influenced by that. Still I like the aesthetic value of it. Not really meant to be an exact historical recreation, after all his best buddy is a girly elf!
None the less I appreciate the interest. I was thinking of putting yellow plaid Gallic pants on him but wanted to show more anatomy.

dpeteuil- Thanks and I love your work! I grew up in Detroit. Its nice to see a talented artist from there!

hoskins78-Thanks man hope you like!

Julian- Thanks again for your eyeballs and support!

I’ll be posting the next character wips soon If your interested its on my blog for now.

i like this guy …love the pose very much…i read what julian said …but i must disagree - for me he seems to hunt careful and slowely -and this is shown very good …

Super cool!

Get him a scotch or he’ll get stabby!

Nice work!

Very cool character Poop. Thumbs up all the way:) :+1:

Still on my D&D kick! Another character from the late 90’s. Valentina Died with a crossbow bolt to the back never to be played again. One of my favorites though.

Initial posing.
Still needs a lot of anatomy adjustments, sculpt on the accessories etc and an ass kicking grin

A friend of mine and terrific animator Christine Morten is rigging and animating her for her reel. Cant wait till she brings Val to life! She put val into the pose I suggested off that game rig. I then reprojected back to the hirez and then re-imported the posed bits.

Aden- Props on the materials I love them

Julian- Plan on using your ss and grafic novel materials on this one! I’m excited!

and yes more spotlight action!
Your input is always appreciated! Valentinawip.jpg

Great pose.

great, can’t wait to see that. keep in mind though it is quite dependent on your carving and sculpting. since it is pretty much a what you see is what you get material I recommend putting it on while sculpting now and then.

Great looking new character - she has a nice looking sense of scale about her, and it makes a change to see regular sized axes too! Much impressed!!!

Great, very nice Char I like the probs :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:
