really beautifully recreated… shame the print lost so much detail…
I love this, just one small crit though, Id work a bit more on his definition and overall muscleshape!
very nice!
I kind of like the “loose” muscle definition. I think it fits the piece rather well.
hi
very cool bust! i like the pose aloT!
Very nice, are you using a displacement map from zbrush in your maya render? Is that UV spread your displacement? Mental ray with area lights with a MR>area light>type>sphere?
Very nice very clean.
nice sculpt- what kind of printer did you have it built on & what are the approx dimensions?
Intervain thank you, the print is quite small about 4 inches lost alot of detail from it but cant complain got it printed for free:D
Ares1979 thanks, yea you’re write im going to rework the old centaur abit using photo reference rather then reference from marble sculptures
Zmith[21] thanks
Mrguy thanks, im using displacement map which is 32bit, i have clamped the image so you can see the displacement map clearly, lit using 3 spot lights and a environment hdri map for reflections.
shhark thanks, its a zcorp printer not intended to print fine detail, used for architectural stuff… got this sneaked in for a print 4 x 4 inches
Do your three spot lights have any MR attributes to them. I’m still fairly new in CG… so why spot lights over area lights?
Wow!!! Amazing work, specially the Eros!
just an update to the renders, got eros in now
rendered in mental ray using fast sss shader

Awesome work…amazin…
haha, cool.
what do you suppose the tree under his belly is for? im asking, knowing that this is based on another work. just curious. but excelent job though.
awesome!
nerveink thanks
caiyuqiabc317 thanks
mjolnir thanks, yea i was wondering that too. The tree is there for support as this original was craved out of marble the centaur legs are be too thin to support the weight of the top half.
Ville thanks
