It’s a nice sculpt but it depends on the style your going for.
It doesn’t resemble Vin really, but it works almost as an anime/stylized verison of Riddick no doubt.

bald characters with goggles always look badass. nice job
Thanks for your input guys!
Cemond, darrenw, wethand, do you think you can give me some pointers on how to make look more realistic?
i think your zbrush skills are good enough to get this looking awesome mate.
if you want to get it more like riddick then its all about the reference images. get the movie, watch through it and use fraps of something similar to grab some stills. or just google riddick.
concentrate on getting a decent range of angles in as good lighting as you can find. then sculpt away with the ref images on a second monitor. if you only have 1 monitor then maybe print the them out as alt tabbing isn’t ideal for looking a ref images. you ideally need the ref and your work to be side by side.
start at low sub div level. get the shape working from all angles at the lowest level and then work your way up one level at a time. use the move a standard brushes to get the general form as good as possible.
the low level form is the most important thing to get right in my opinion. you can detail something up all day but if the base form isn’t right then it can all be a waste of time.
you might have to sacrifice alot of the detail in the top levels as big moves on low div will screw up and stretch the detail in the top levels.
Don’t get stressed about loosing stuff thought. one of the best tips i’ve ever been given is to not fear loosing or erasing areas. even if you have to completely redo huge areas of the sculpt from scratch its never a waste of time because you are always learning and improving.
anyway i don’t know if thats the kind of tips you were after. its more general than specific to this image but i really think its all about the reference and then getting the low level form as good as possible before detailing. good luck mate.
Hey Darren, thanks alot for the tips man, I appreciate it. I am going to take your advice and really try and get the realism of riddick.
Hi fox1983! Cool sketchbook man! Great start! !
Etcher sketcher: Thx for the comment man!
I took the mesh from the shaman I made on the first page and decided to make a mayan character out of it. All accessories are mesh extracted subtools and still need work.
Still a W.I.P
C & C appreciated.
