here is another with a bit more of an ape-ish proportion. The hands feel big and odd to me now that I’m looking at it… I guess their next!
really like the head design of this one
same, think the head looks great and the skin details are really well done.
And i think it might look cooler with slightly smaller hands too (little more human-like but not quite :P).
Good job and keep on posting goes off to read lovecraft again
ncollings - thanks!
nizza_waaarg - you know it! here goes! I’m closing in for the kill.
beautiful work, really nice to see.
The detail in the face is great, especially the lips/teeth!
I can’t wait till you get to his arms and legs.
They still look stiff, but I’m sure you’ll get around to it.
Nattawat_OBBI - thanks for the kudos!
MouthforWar - thanks!
This is shaping up really nice! The feet and hands are looking really cool and the hair was around the pubic area is a nice design idea. Are you planning on posing this guy?
Oh rats! I was going to give a Great Old One a shot since the description in At the Mountains of Madness is so precise…
And then I see your Elder Thing and the game’s up:D
Thanks Bryan. and yes I will be posing him up soon. I just wanted to finish up the back and some details I’m almost ready.
markkens - funny that you should say that I have been wanting to give that old one another go-round with a fresh “new” look. The old ones in hellboy2 were very cool but inaccurate to the written page. I would recommend that you spew forth your old one onto the world. There can never be to many versions…
All done sculpting… I’m ready to do some savagely posed Thunderdevils. Maybe this weekend…
Still no poses yet but soon.
I’m shure that from beyond the mountains of madness great late HPL is watching this thread with pride and joy. Your work is a tribute to a writer I have loved from my first reading of “the Rats in the walls” 'till now.
Thanks Erik!
I wanted to get some polypainting done before I posed him up. Thankfully transposemaster came out again yesterday. oh yeah!
Wow, this is great. You have to get a print out of this so I can buy a resin copy! Super rad man!
Bryan, Thanks and You know it! I thought this variation looked pretty cool so I figured I’d post it.
This is getting really good now, I like the last additions, those details are making a huge difference, … are you going to another level of detail to the skin.
Thanks Point!
Any mac users having trouble with transpose master 3.12. It crashed on me around seven times tonight. it bugs out when I’m on my way back from posing. I may have to do it the old fashioned way. I don’t see what other options I have.
