Hey, Jason!

Happy New Year!

When I go to your website to download the lesson files for the Veoh SSS tutorials it no longer accepts my User ID and Password (‘Pixologic’ / ‘Members’). How do I re-register?

Thanks!

~S.~

the link is double posting in the url window

happy new yr to u 2;)

hi canned mushrooms
Great tutorials just working on SSS one. I was wondering where i could download your resolution brushes for the texturing in zbrush.
cheers mate

is its free?

hi jason,
the links for your maya modeling lessons and zbrush videos doesnt work anymore?Have you removed them from veoh?

I have partnered with 3dtotal and they are hosting my videos right now.
http://www.3dtotal.com/

just look on the front page in the tutorial links you’ll find me mixed in there somewhere.

Veoh I think is updating again so I am not sure how I will fit in the veoh scheme of things in the near future if they keep up their “ruining a good thing” ways

Thanks jason for quick reply and helping in learning zbrush.
I checked your tutorials on veoh also.I like your style of discussing bad and good things, what to do and what not to do stuff. :+1:
Now videos at veoh are not arranged properly like they used to before(2 days ago).Almost 500 tutorials by you including photoshop, maya, zbrush are there.

Your Links Do Not Work!!!
Please is ther any way in which I could get them working?? Its really nice what you guys are doing, but one feels really bad when links don’t work… Please help me out!!!

i think this tread is 2 years old or something why don’t you try youtube or Veoh for a cheap fast solution or if you have some cash to spare try gnomonology or digitaltutors

Gnomonology, digital tutors arent free.I will prefer VTC intro to zbrush3 by Jason Welsh aka cannedmushrooms if someone wants to start learning zbrush. He covers every basic thing.Plus his free lessons are very cool too.

oh ok, good luck then

Just when you thought it was safe to get back in the water!

A weird workflow video comes your way ;) There is a couple ways to do this, but have you ever wanted to spread an alpha across a surface even enough that nobody could ever tell how you did it? Aka procedural material Example: Vinyl, Plastic, Fabric Well heres a fun way to do it using Maya and Zbrush together. [veoh]v18199618yRcxDThM[/veoh]

Jason, Just a big THANK YOU!
Your SSS tut is magic.
Pity the files are no longer around, if anyone knows a working link please let us all know.

THANKS AGAIN!
Stu

Appreciate the reply, you seem to have a good track record for replying to peoples questions, its very honourable. So thank you, I was however referring to the scene file, and perhaps the texture files. Just to cross reference scale, lighting and SSS values and perhaps colour values of your maps with my own scene. Did you ever get around to compiling that scene/textures file?

Another link to download the lessons is on 3D total which is one nice big .zip file so one doesn’t need to hassle with the veoh login and download application etc:
http://www.3dtotal.com//team/Tutorials_3/zbrush_training/lesson_13/lesson%2013.zip

Still experimenting with maya’s SSS shader and not a fan of single pass renders, it seems that that is the route people are taking with maya SSS. Currently with initial tests in maya its feel like there is a loss of texture quality using either diffuse or overall colour as apposed to using a standard material diffuse channel. Its almost like a filter is applied, a slight blur, even though all settings relating to filtering are off.

All the best mate.
Regards
Stu Shapiro.

Almost all lessonfiles can be found here

www.houseoftutorials.net/lessonfiles

but the file you want is Here

Amazing, Thank you !

So Nice lessons. I like it so much good posting i think. I am excited to watch lesson 4, sadly there seems to be a 3 hour download time.

Thanks.

I tried to watch your tutorials at work but I cant install the player that is required to see them. I´ve got 64 bits xp here and the player installation says that I must install the application on xp or vista. You have any idea how I can fix this? I really want to see those videos.
