the detail is looking nice, but i think you have his head too small. even for a man of his size. it throws off the image.

Really nice sculpt man. Great new take on the costume and nice anatomy. That axe on the leg is really strange though, and not very functional-looking. You’ve obviously put a lot of thought into this sculpt, so don’t upset it by slapping a 200 lb. axe into a simple strap on his upper thigh. Really throws off the rest of the great work.

Yeah, I’m gonna change that strap on his leg but I’d love to have the axe in that area. I might do a ‘double strapped’-belt-thing but don’t know yet. Would appreciate any ideas though …

very good i have save it in my referance folder because i want to do a barbarian warrior and what referance you used for anatomy thankkkkkkks

spectacular. really great detail. his head definately needs to be bigger though. you could fit his head three times into the current width of his torso. it “should” barely fit 2 head widths. as far as real world measurements go. not that this should correspond to real world anything… but is still noticeable. just trying to help… but great work! : )

You have brought back fond memories of my favorite toy series.

I haven’t seen many 3d versions of him that do the character justice.

Every revision is so much more improved from the previous.

Cannot wait to see the finished version.

Nah, I was born and raised in Vienna, Austria but my origin’s in Turkey.

Your model looks very good - the physique and the clothing … works quite well.

I must say though, your model’s hair doesn’t seem ‘natural’. Now I’m not saying you should go as far as to replicate the 70’s ‘bowl cut’ like the cartoon or comics but his present hair style begs the question … is there a barber in Eternia we haven’t seen yet that keeps Prince Adam so trim? Real men with swords don’t cut their hair like marines. :sunglasses:

He’s definately going to get some hair. I’m not sure about it’s design yet but definately not this ‘marine cut’ you’re seeing in the sculpt.

The thing is that I’m gonna make the hair with alpah planes later on. The sculpt information you can see now is only there, that if you saw through the alpha planes later that you’d at least have any kind of ‘background’.

It is already written a few posts earlier though.

Small update!

I wish I could say that the hair is done, but it ain’t. On my first run He-Man looked like a Japanese popstar (no offense, and sorry, no footage there - erased everything out of frustration) and now I do like it in general but there are still plenty of stuff to criticize.

The skin texture oughta be done so far. Will paint over the seams, some details to it generally and correct some odds and ends in ZBrush.

As long as the assets are concerned, still flat colors - nothing special yet - just wanted to test some colorschemes and I think to continue towards that direction. BTW, fur ain’t final neither. I’ll hook it up with some alpha planes.

I do have some issues with his armor though. Tried out billions of color variations/combinations and haven’t managed to achieve a satisfying result.
