Great Amore !!!

pura poesia!!

Buon lavoro!

Great job so far on the model!!!

Check out the Materials challenge from a couple weeks ago…between Jantim and JotaJota I think you will find the perfect material for this…some tweaking but I can think of two right now that would be perfect as is…check em out!

Looking forward to details and final…really excellent job so far!!

Hi Vivien,

This is nice modeling, it has hansome features and you are developing great skill .
There are just a couple of suggestions if you do not mind me saying…

The eyelids are a little too far away from the eyeball and maybe there should be a small adjustment around the upper nose just above the bridge, most noses have a small indentation before it merges with the forehead.

Anyways this will look very nice when rendered and I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Bill

It started as a Greek Sculpture…and ended as the virgin Mary…Oh, you Italians

jantim

hi!

jotajota, bas mazur: thank you thank you!!!

aminuts: thanks, i’m glad you like how the model is coming along, thanks for looking, and thanks alot for the suggestion on the materials, i haven’t seen them yet but i trust that they will be just what i was looking for…

willog: i appreciate your post! i’m always happy to hear what people sincerely think about my work. i know the eyelids are anatomically incorrect, and although it is meant to be a statue, they still stick too far out! i’m probably going to fix that before texturing…as for the nose…i referred to the classical canonical greek beauty, as you can see in this picture of the venus de milo…the forehead and the nose have almost the same identical inclination…so to make it short…i did that on purpose

jantim: you are right, i said the exact same thing yesterday when i added the veil…more than a classical greek statue, it reminds me of michelangelo’s “pietà”…

Nice work. I think eye socket should be deeper, check this picture.

As you can see, he has depth. Your sculpture looks a little bit flat too.

statua_compositing4.jpg i think it’s finished! i hope you like it…texturing was done in zbrush, compositing in photoshop. happy z-brushing everyone!!

Sublime.!!

A beautiful piece, Viv. I love how the weathering makes her look like she is crying. Always a pleasure to see new work from you…

Dickie

hi again, thanks everyone for the encouragement!

EXCELLENT !!!
:sunglasses: :+1: :+1: :+1:

love U :stuck_out_tongue:

great going, you’ve captured a very serene look, which really gives an aura of divinity. as someone else mentioned, the eyelids is a bit off since they don’t confrom to the underlying eyeball, also I find the eyeballs to be a bit large, but that may well be due to the eyelids not covering them enough. as for the face structure, I’d like to see the eyebrow arc of the face lifted a bit, and also a slight bulge on the chin, as it looks somewhat flat now. nose and mouth looks great to me, some minor tweaks and this will be excellent :+1:
