How did you managed to do those metalic edges on the face? is it just some flatten bumps or did you used some specific tool like the stich brush?

Thanks. No I just painted a mask (BTW, does anyone know how to save a mask at really high resolution? I was on’y able to make an alpha at 1024) and inflated it a bit then pulled up a central ridge and smothed on either side of the ridge.

Very nice Gaboon, I’ll be keeping an eye on this one i think! That webbed look on the armour is brilliant, you do it by hand? Definitely seeing the Soul Reaver/ Legacy of Kain inspiration here. Cant wait for a texture.

Incidentally, how many polys have you got in your base mesh?

Already this is looking excellent. I love zsculpts with that comic book style. Looking forward to seeing him painted

Thanks guys. He is at about 10,300 polys. Started to texture him. 2x2048 color, normal, and spec maps. The red spots will be lights. The color scheme is still up in the air but will probably be in the black/gray/red evilness area. Basicly he is a vampire that went to sleep in the 1300’s and woke up 600 years later. The suit cleans and recycles his blood so he can survive on the post apocolyptic earth. Anywho, I need to do a damage/aging pass and add some more techyness. Also do his weapon. All feedback is helpful and appreciated.

The Red armor looks way better than the Blue version.

I love the idea and the sculpt.
Color is my problem so far, the Red is too cliche sp and looks too much like an Unreal/Gears color scheme.

I would add greens and purples myself. Deep greens to show age and wisdom and the purples to portray royalty, or some place of stature. I dunno, play around with it and see if you like the ideas.

I tweeked the spec, bringing up the edges on the black parts. Rigged and posed him. Rendered in Max with mental ray. He is now at 10,600 tris with 2x 2048 color, normal and spec, and a 1024x512 set of the same. I am working on his axe, but have him as is in my post until I add it. All comments and crits are appreciated.

I really like the design of the body armour it has turned out really nice.
Have you considered getting this into Unreal or Gears as nellement said it really wouldn’t look out of place.
