Forensic Facial Reconstruction of a 2800 Year Old Mummy

The technique has been applied more so to “currently” deceased than any other. It is what is commonly used in cold case/unidentified type scenarios. There have been many “hits” as a result of a reconstruction & it is extremely accurate when used by a trained artist. I have a bunch of reconstructions on my website but I do not have permission to show any of the actual photos of the victims. This reconstruction was done by forensic artist Karen T. Taylor whom I studied with. She is one of, if not currently the most prominent, forensic artist in the world. I think the images speak for themselves as far as similarity. The technique & methods are well proven.

I don’t know what happened to some of the images I had posted previously of another forensic artist’s recontruction (whom I personally know) to give an example of the accuracy of the recontruction method I use but they have been taken down or mysteriously disappeared. That posting now seems to convey that she did the reconstruction of the mummy that this thread is about. Anybody (i.e. moderater) know why/how would these images would have gotten removed from my posting? Anyway here they are again- they are not ZB images but included to demonstrate the accuracy of my method in response to questions in this thread.

Hey Joshua,
I have been reconstructing the face from a skull for the past few days using zbrush tutorials. All worked fine till the last step. The muscles are all set but I cant seem to get the skin on to it. It was said i should use remesh all but the results in some absurd shape:cry:. Please help me… What am doing wrong in here?? :confused:small_orange_diamond:cry:
Images are attached…

1st one is the one with muscles, other one is the distorted “remesh All” technique applied state…

try “merge visible” of all the appropriate subtools then Dynamesh the merged result. From there you can try to inflate or scale that mesh to use as your skin.
