Thank you all I waited a while to say my thanks, as I am the first to 4000 by default. This honor should really have gone to my very good friend and mentor Michael StoneCutter. If he had not stopped posting he would have had 4500 or more posts by this time, as when he had 3900 I only had about 3600 posts. These numbers just creep up on you and before you know it they are there.
I am pleased that this program has given me the opportunity to meet some very interested and talented individuals, some of whom have become very close friends. At my age, the interaction is excellent therapy and goes a long way in helping me to keep my mind active.
Once again thanks for all the comments over the year, they were all appreciated more than you may think.
Thank you Muvlo for noticing, and for starting this thread, it is very much appreciated.

Congratulations on reaching the 4K mark, Joe. Thank you for all the pleasure you have given us with your constant flow of wonderful and colourful landscapes, and for the support and help you freely give to others. There are a number of talented artists who post here at the Forum, but I can honestly say your work is the closest to my own heart and provided me with the inspiration and encouragement to persevere when I was very much finding my feet with the software and indeed painting in general. I look forward to learning even more about the islands that seem almost to have become my second fantasy home.
