i was just thinking though. the nose shape is defined by the cartilage underneath. so if there is just skin then i think the nose part would be kinda flabby and just hangin there. idk man just looks kinda wierd with a skinned face and a full nose…

I have made some changes to the fur, but not much. Made some lager clumps of fur, and it works ok I think. I will upload some images soon :slight_smile:

About making the fur with planes could be done yes, but i actually like the look of the geo fur. And after all, I would like to finish this character soon, and there is still alot of details left to be done :wink:

I will try decimation master soon, but its actually not that bad after i made bigger clumps of fur, it resulted in lowering the “hair” count.

About the nose on the skinned face, yes it might hang more, its just hard figuring out how much cartilage is left on a such a skinned face hehe :stuck_out_tongue:
I would imagine that the tip of the nose would keep its volume. But all the skin above it might be hanging yes, i will give it a try soon :slight_smile:

Here is an update of the body, and various stuff :slight_smile:
Thinking about removing the fur at the hoofs. Guess I will figure it out when im posing him, and that will be the next step for me now. Pose, minor tweaks here and there.
Unfortunatly my system cant handle anymore than 3 million poly’s on a single tool, and since the body is rather large, i cant get good detail in his face. Oh well, it will have to do.
I might make a head bust of him at some point, and then should 3 million poly’s be enough :slight_smile:

About the pose, im thinking of making one where he is running into battle, in a berserk kind of way. He is going to have an axe in each hand, so we’ll see :slight_smile:

the spaghetti-ish hair - is that the end result of the ‘shave and a haircut’ thing from Maya?

i guess for the teeth, maybe you could look at the teeth of different kinds of primates for inspiration. many of them are primarily vegetarians or frugivores and their teeth reflect that, but pretty much all of them still retain some very fierce fangs.

I think the hoofs work alot better aswell, I just had to try the paw thing out first.

The spaghetti hair and fur is a poly convertion from Shave yes :slight_smile:
The fur and hair is going to be tweaked for the pose. Especially the hair.
About the Teeht, i kinda like them as they are, perhaps they should get some more volume. It will be much easier for me to decide when he is posed and has an expression.

Yeah, as soon as I changed the paws, and got hoofs, its just felt right. wonder why :stuck_out_tongue: haha

Here is an update on the pose. It is as rough as can be, so dont think about volume issues and so on. I just wanted to visualise it, so I can figure out if this is the way to go :slight_smile: I think the pose works, but im sure it can get better!

Crits and pointers on the pose are most welcome.
