body exercise

Solstice, can you tell everybody what your goal is, what target as in quality you have in mind if any? If your just having some sketch fun thats fine also. I think some feel your not listening to advice given, but im not totaly sure you actualy wanted any to stat with, either way keep going and have fun.

If you do want to move forward, start making just heads as your main project, and make these sketches in between to keep it fun. Spend a good 4 hours on one head, not only will this improove your work, but it will keep you inspired.

heads project

I just had a look through that thread on head making. You have made some nice progress, but the focus seem to have been on likness not refined, finnished heads.

Again im not sure what your aiming for, weather it be the stylistic clay look, or realistic smooth anatomicly refined look. At this time it would seem the clay sketch look, however anatomy is still off enougth to distract its style.

I would say your spending far less time in Sub-D 1-2, and sculpting too much at the higher end. This results are a very lumpy uneven apearence.

Thank you Tez
maybe this is my aim

I like your site, very relaxing and nice sculpts. When I ment what is your aim, I meant a goal that you trying to attain to, not somthing you have already achived. It may be that your already there, and happy with what your producing now, in which case keep em comming, and keep enjoying.

Your much better off making a timelaps so others can see more done in less time. Also places like blip.tv or Vimeo are better quality playback than Youtube.

Thank you Taz.
It is a good idea.
ane Would you teach me how to embed the video in the page? Please

I agree–looks like a lot of time was spent with the body–It’ll be cool to see the body and head come together in future models

I would use references if I were you. Or study anatomy but I know that’s a challenge for most people to get their hands on anatomy lessons.
You seem to rush and use materials with tons of noise… I don’t really understand why. But you have the shape of the body basically right. Now you just need to learn how to smooth out those rough spots, take some more time adding muscle, and studying the face more.

Thats his choosen look. If you look 7 post back he responded to me asking what his goals where. He used his own work to show his aim, which means his already reached it. So I dont thing he is trying to alter his style or look, or to many peoples eyes improove.

I think his style is hard to visualize as it almost mimics the work of somone starting out in sculpting, with all respect intended.

I just don’t know why you wouldn’t create the little details, even if it’s with your own style.

Only Solstice can answer that. Its apersonal prefference I guess.

Thank you for the comment.

I wish my body look like the model.
