alexleia, you whipped these models out really fast and with great quality Always excited to see your models.
Very nice modeling! I like a lot the wrinkles on his forhead. It makes him look that heās a little bit angry. Just a little! hehe!
So the teeth I know somebody else asked if they were done seperate, but do you modeled them in zbrush or outside of zbrush?
Ok Alexleia, thx for you time.
Have a good one!
Javier Loredo.
I was also looking at the teeth. They sort of get all the attention with their higher level of detail. I see you said they were modeled separately and thatās how I usually go about adding teeth. But is it tough to do them in Zbrush? could one just extrude them out and then mask and shrink the teeth to make the gumline? I wonder how practical that is. I usually do my eyes outside Zbrush so I can animate them and get some nice index of refraction on the transparent parts.
hi all
i will reply each question soon, thanks guys
here`s a upadate
Alex
whoa iām scared !
nice sculpting
Hey Alex,
I have some fedback for you - Hopefully it will be helpful.
My first tip is to look at a creation from the ātraditionalā point of view. Donāt consider it as a 3d image, but rather as an artwork.
To get help - go look at photos or other images for taking references. You will find lots of flaws that you might patch up even before you mind to make a post.
I took the liberty of doing a simple paint over with your image.
Please see that for some tips I have.
Here I write the ideas and comments point by point.
Overall: I can see that you enjoy Zbrushās ability of bumping up a model. Use it wisely. Right now, he looks way to bumpy. You should consider to smooth him up on most of the places to give him the right shape. Later on, you can add more and more deformation where you find it is necessary.
Ear: A classical fault that many ppl seem to do is forgetting how an ear actually look like. What people also forget is, how easy it is to go finding a working reference. Just use google image search and you will have dozens of useful ear references to use for building good-looking ear.
Eye-brow area: I think it is way to low. If you watch the paint-over, you will see that I made the eyes a bit more visible. Also, I made a special curvature for how I thought eyebrow wrinkle might look like, to look cool.
Lips: The upper lips are giving us a tiny indication of looking great. But they arent good looking yet. The solution would be to mark them out a bit. In the middle area, between the upper and the lower, I believe they should be thinner because of the tension. And also the lower lips would need some marking.
I made some sketching below the lower lip, on the chin; I think that this area would look good if you would add some realistic wrinkles that would occure when a character opens a mouth widely like yours does.
Nose needs a small fix, forehead-wrinkles needs some small fixing
Neck and upper chest area: This is an easy part actually. Just try to find some body references, not necesarry a body-builder. Just try to find where the muscles in these areas are actually located and youāll save the day.
I hope this is useful.
If you want, PM me a link to the model itself, so I send you some tweaks directly on the mesh itself.
Best wishes!
ps. I left the image size the same, so you can put it ontop of your image in Photoshop so you can see what details I made paintovers for. I didnt care of drawing the complete character - many of your details were nice looking already.
Haider_zbrush-thank you! you re right , i need leran more about anatomy and concept designer, i will try study more and post here soon, you know, we always need study more to try do something really good, here
s some samples of some works just to you see how much i`m trying learn more

Great work Alex. Bravo.
amazing work man, great attention to details.
waiting for more updates.
Alex Oliver, learner?!
He is to zbrushing what Yoda is to the Force! Or are you Palpatine?!!!
God, that makes me sound like some 14 year old Geek
I took the liberty of doodling on your sketches. Oh sorry, I mean giving you constructive critisizm.
Now then, after my last two images were too big too upload, I decided to work on Mr. Wolverine.
Heās a floating headā¦nobody likes a spooky floating headā¦justā¦floating around. Give him a body, and after a body, a SHIRT!
Smile!
Perhaps cut his hair? Some people like change, how much have we seen Wolverine before in the past? Fresh looks!
I gave him a bottle of wrinkle reducing cream. Maybe that will help add back the look of his youth.
Unless, of course he keeps on smoking. Ditch the cigar homeslice.
He has no eye pupilsā¦
Next is badass in training. No need to look so stiff.
SMILE! Really, why is everyone looking so mean? Are they planning on killing someone? I dont think so.
Take a saw to those horns, you donāt need them. Youāre not going to kill anyone.
While your at it. Saw off those ears, Batman up thereās got you beat in the sonar department.
Ok hope you find this helpful. I know I have. Peace.
kaibosh-thanks!! yesās good observation, the only thing is that my bases are just to sculpt , i never try use it to animate, but youāre right, thanks!!

Haider: It would be nice to see some of your work. I tried your site but its got one of those anoying āget flash playerā-signs, although Ive got the latest. Maybe you could post spme of your work here?
Yeah, I got the little āget flash playerā logo also  I tried the link in three different browser types, and still no joy! I donāt think thereās anything there to be seen?

NotAdmin: Heeey. Are you making fun of my way of giving feedback?? Go get a wacom!
MrLearner: Yep, flash sux. I need to make a flash-free version, or at least, here you can find something on cgtalk. I know that I need to post more, but there is so little time.
However, you and I seem to be almost neighbours (both of us living in Stockholm)
