oh my god dude i just looked at their site and your model is on their front page:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

can you get them in colour? and what program did you use to rig your 360 controll to that other model on your site that sh&* was dope!

hey nick,

very good one and i just wanna know what a piece like that does cost? can you give some information please?
wanna compare with a company here in germany. thx a lot

Great work Nick. Thanks for bringing Crystalline to my attention. They’re close to where I live. Crystalline, I like what I am seeing.

I noticed everyone is asking about the cost but no one is answering. :sunglasses:

It’s a perfect scale, and the quality seems above average, so I’m REALLY curious as to the cost. I understand that there might’ve been a deal in place to use it as an example on the site, but still

What WOULD a piece similar to this cost? What would a piece at this scale, but a complete, full body model cost to print?

We eagerly await an answer!

LeoAMD-I’m not sure what this would have cost. I was able to get a free print from http://crystallinemodels.com.

Every printing company is going to have their own going rate, so it is hard to give an answer to how much it will cost per square inch. The best thing to do is look at the prints that a company has made, if you like them, work out a quote with them to find out the cost. I will say that it seems like the cost is coming down a bit, at least from what I can tell.

Wikid - There are machines that can print in color, I would say the color component is up to par yet to the printing component, it is still pretty cool to see your virtual model exist in the real world with colors on it.

Look at ZCorphttp://www.zcorp.com/ to see machines that can print in color.

Here is where I learned how to hook up the 360 controller to Maya http://www.ryane.com/?p=165

I think if you read the comments on my blog post I explained some of the process. It is pretty cool stuff to play around with! Have fun!

For those who are looking to learn about the cost, please get a quote from Crystalline here http://crystallinemodels.com/quotes.php

Peace-NickZ.

The print is so cool! Hey Nick, I noticed you forgot to sign the ZTool… , would’ve been a neat touch though  .

Thanks Nick for this superb model, this is really inspirational, I hope one day maybe Ill do somethin like this, with your help here Im one step closer, thanks again man…

hey Nick,
here’s the thing I did with your model, yeah I know it might not be much but I did what I could at this point :D,

Ive just relighted your model in zbrush and enhanced your texture in Photoshop and added the logo
what sucks though is that I haven’t seen the persona posted up yet in their gallery, today’s the second day since I’ve uploded and Im still waiting, they may have a large queue maybe,So I thought i’l post you this for the time being.
I’ll post you the link as soon as its up and running, many thanks to you and Pixologic for allowing me to use their stuff:)

PS.might make a nice desk backgound;) VulcanNir, (Nirmal T)![main copy.jpg|1100x1440](upload://59fZPEN7CbCa7lRHwa9CWfFMqDO.jpeg)
