<y only big crit would be teh cloths look way too staright, try giving them some folds, especially aorund the belt ;]
Thanks for your comment slocik

Nope, it has realtime reflections (cubemap), I’m using an awesome dx viewport shader called Xoliul, if you work with max and you didn’t know it, I really recomend that you test it. You can read more about Xoliul shader (and download it) in its site
I had some free time today and I took the chance to work a bit more on the knight, I guess I can finish this model in a couple of day more
Zbrush for ultralowpoly models? Why not?.
I made a quick sculpting of these characters to define the general volumes in a easy way and get an occlusion map as base for the diffuse texture, I invert some time on sculpting but I also save a lot of time on texture painting, I think it really worth, moreover I love to sculpt with Zbrush and I take any chance to do this :P.
As always crits and comments are welcome
More models
Cool assets! I like it.
BTW you might to describe what kind of project you did it.
It will clarify the situation and add your more scores to you personality.
Thanks for your comments Daemon3d
These models are for a 3D tower defense game for Android, the game is in its last stages of development, so I’ll post some screenshots of it soon
Here are the towers
These low polys look very good to me, I`m surprised there are no replies yet.
I would like to know more about the process, like what software you use, workflow, tips and tricks.
Great stuff, I`m not sure why but these nice and clean low poly models have a strange appeal.
Thanks for your comments silvaticus
My pipeline is pretty simple: I make a quick sculpt of the model in Zbrush, I take the chance at this stage to design the character/tower, it is like if I make a 3D concept as I go along the process. Once the Sculpt is finished I use XNormal to project some maps like occlusion or cavity to use them as base of the texture, in fact this maps are the 80% of the texture work, I just use Photoshop at the end to add the colors and in some cases paint some small details.
Using this technic to make low poly models I have some advantages, like automatic seamless textures or prevent the UV distortion. I spent some time with the sculpting but I also save a lot of time painting textures, so I think that it really worth, moreover I love to sculpt with ZBrush, so I take any chance to do it
Last months I’ve been posting here a lot of lowpoly models for Tower Defense Wars, a tower defense game for Android which has released today
The game is still an open beta but it is already fully playable, you can see the first screenshots here and visit the game page on the link below
